About K.J.T.E.T Polytechnic : There is a phenomenal growth in the technical education at all levels in the country. Technicians constitute a formidable workforce in India. In order to meet the challenges before us, Kolar Jilla Technical Education Trust was established in the year 1986 by the dedicated efforts of the trustees & educationists with the sole object of providing an essential technical education to the rural students and also to infuse in the younger aspirants of the border community the importance of technical education.
The trust has humble beginning in this direction by starting a polytechnic in the year 1986. the trust has greater plans to provide further technical education such as graduation and post graduation. The institution has made strides in developing its infrastructure like machinery, equipment, library, etc.,
This polytechnic caters to the needs of the students coming from rural areas and who are socially backward and poor families who are denied admission in government polytechnics in face of stiff competition from the urban students.
