Government Arts College, Tiruvannamalai is situated on the Pondicherry – Bangalore highway. Located at the foot of the Mount Arunachala, it has a perfect ambiance for academic pursuits. The college caters to the need of economically and academically backward students in and around Tiruvannamalai. Built in rural area the college is serving economically to the backward students downtrodden of the society. It has a team of able and erudite teachers. They have been keeping the beacon of learning ablaze for more than three decades. As an affiliated college of the Thiruvalluvar University, it has to conform to the existing rules of the university. The needs of the students hailing from this region are quite different from that of the norms of the university. Further, the teaching staff members are dedicated to uplift the society by imparting intellectual food for the student community.
