Combined Medical Exam

 
Union Public Service Commission conducts Combined Medical Services Examination for recruitment to the post of doctors in Central Services like Railways, Ordinance Factories, Health Services of Government, Central Health Services and Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

Assistant Divisional Medical Officers in the Railways.
Junior Scale Posts in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service.
Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services.
Medical Officers in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
General Duty Medical Officers in NDMC.

Age Limits
 
Below 32 years on 1st January of the year of Examination
(Age-limit relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and some other categories, as notified by Govt. from time to time)
 
Educational Qualification
 
A pass in the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.
 
Candidates appearing at the final MBBS Examination are also eligible to apply. Candidates qualifying on the result of the written part of the examination will be required to submit proof of passing the written and practical parts of final MBBS Examination alongwith their detailed application form to be filled up at that stage. A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection he will be appointed only after he has completed the compulsory rotating internship.
 
Scheme of Examination
 
Written Examination (2 papers of 200 marks each, both of objective type)
Paper I (200 marks)
General Medicine including Cardiology, Neurology, Dermatology and Psychiatry - 60%
Surgery including ENT, Ophthalmology, Traumatology and Orthopaedics - 40%
Paper II (200 Marks)
Paediatrics - 20% 
Gynaecology and Obstetrics - 40% 
Preventive, Social and Community Medicine - 40%
Total marks for Written Examination - 400
Personality Test - 200 Marks
